In pursuit of my goal of becoming a full time Concept artist, I am now taking a course in 3D Max. I was torn between max and Maya, and decided Max was the industry standard in the past and now, especially for the Gaming industry. This skill should contribute to my viability as a concept artist.I will post some examples when I finish.
I am also pleased to say that I am currently involved in a great comic project. I am penciling and inking with a fantastic writer and colorist, and will post illustrations as soon as its finished.

I am a skilled and experienced artist currently looking for work as a concept artist and I have posted my work here for direction. Does my work reflect what is needed as a concept artist? Let me know. I have been a freelance illustrator for many years, and I have witnessed many changes and opportunities in the art world. I believe the field of video games and animation is the ultimate creative opportunity for an artist, and my years of drawing and sketching hundreds of projects have provided me with the talent and experience to work with a team as a concept artist to create the best art possible in the gaming industry. I work comfortably in pencil, pen and ink, acrylic, oil, and digitally. Please leave comments on my concept art if you are in the business or even if you aren't, any criticism would be helpful. Thanks for looking!

RAD. Tess has talked about you before, so I've always been curious as to what kind of art you did. Pretty dang sweet (:

Hey I'm leading a team on a comic book project and we're in need of a penciler. We like your stuff and we're wondering if you do anything more stylized or only realism? Let me know if your interested.

Thanks, I like to do more stylized work as well as realism; in fact I think the best work is more stylized now. I like doing the realistic work to hone my skills, and to mix it up. I think it's important to be as creative as possible. What do you have in mind?

First off we all agree that your versatility is amazing, and especially the quality of work in each of the style's. I would like to apologize that I did not say from the beginning that this will NOT be a paying gig to start. However you will receive a share of whatever we make if it sells. We plan on pitching to Image after we have at least one issue finished, and down the line of publishing houses such as IDW, BOOM Comics, and Dark Horse respectively if Image falls through.

We are looking for a style close to CHEW and/or Tank Girl (Visions of Booga). As for the story we can get more into that if you are still interested, but I will tell you that we pride ourselves on original and engaging story. We do not want to pump out another "run of the mill" hero or vigilante comic. You are our first choice by far after looking at many artists and we hope to hear good news from you soon.

Thanks
Just,
Erik
